ETHAN HENSHAW

Electrical Apprentice

Ethan is early in his electrical career, but he’s already the kind of guy who shows up ready to learn, work hard, and figure things out properly. With 1.5 years in the trade and working through his 309A Construction and Maintenance apprenticeship, he’s building a strong foundation the right way, hands-on and detail-focused.

He’s also chainsaw certified, which feels very on-brand for someone who’d rather be outside than sitting still.

When he’s not on the job, you’ll probably find Ethan out hiking or backpacking, usually somewhere with no cell service and a solid view.

LIAM GRANGER

Senior Fire Alarm Technician

With over 10 years in fire protection, Liam is the guy you want when things need to be done right the first time. He’s a licensed CFAA Fire Alarm Technician with certifications in fire extinguishers and multi-system kitchen suppression, and he brings a deep understanding of codes, standards, and real-world application to every job.

He’s known for his problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and the kind of customer service that actually makes people feel taken care of. He’s also big on continuing education, always staying sharp and up to date.

Outside of work, Liam trades job sites for the deep woods, where camping means getting properly off the grid.

ERIK RATZKI

Owner | Master Electrician | Senior Fire Alarm Technician

Erik is the one who built EJR Electric & Fire from the ground up, and he’s still right there in the field, solving problems and getting his hands dirty alongside the team.

With 17 years as an electrician and 10 years in fire alarm systems, he brings serious experience to the table. He’s a Master Electrician, Red Seal certified, CFAA certified , and highly skilled in electrical estimating. More importantly, he knows how to take all that knowledge and apply it in a way that actually works on real jobs, not just on paper.

He’s known for his deep understanding of electrical and fire protection codes, and his ability to troubleshoot just about anything that gets thrown his way. When he’s not working, you’ll find Erik out fishing or hunting, usually somewhere quiet, recharging before the next busy stretch.
